A haven for relaxation and family interaction was the design intention for this Greensburg, PA project. The homeowner can enjoy the Sunday paper from the shade of an umbrella as the children cool off in the adjacent in-ground pool. As lunchtime approaches, a meal can be prepared in the kitchenette of the custom designed and built pool house and grilled just outside on the built-in stainless steel grill.

The roof of the pool house extends into the landscape to provide a covered outdoor living space ideal for entertaining or an afternoon nap.

Plantings were selected to provide a lush character echoing the vibrancy and density of the surrounding woodlands. Natural sandstone features and custom masonry elements were incorporated throughout the site to unify separate spaces and achieve a consistent design character.
